Living With Uncertainty
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer. ~Rainer Maria Rilke
Our new reality is requiring us to awaken to the precariousness of life. In times of uncertainty, we crave answers. Instead, we are being forced to learn to live with ongoing ambiguity. Yet this moment gives us an opportunity to ask better questions about who we want to become. Come and share how you are holding uncertainty, what you are learning, and what you hope to carry forward into the next phase of your life. We will explore how we might hold steadfastly to our values while also becoming more flexible about how those values are lived out. Through prayerful practice, writing and small group conversation we will explore what each of us can learn about ourselves and the world we want to live into.
